If you're using connect_tokens to add accounts to Context.IO, you may have noticed there are some Context.IO branded screens during the connection process.
For accounts for which we support oauth (such as Gmail and Outlook), these Context.IO branded screens are a little redundant since the user will need to authenticate on the provider end anyway.
Good news is, you can skip the Context.IO branded screens and redirect your user straight to the provider to authenticate.
- Send a POST request to get a connect_token, and make sure you pass in the email you wish to connect (Gmail or Outlook)
- You will receive a response that contains a "browser_redirect_url", again as normal.
- Now, you will want to append "&skip_oauth_splash=1" to the "browser_redirect_url" you get from the connect_token POST response
That's it! Now when the user is redirected to the "browser_redirect_url", the user will be redirected straight to the email provider to authenticate, and the Context.IO specific screens will be skipped.
PLEASE NOTE: It is necessary that you add an email address to the connect_tokens POST request, otherwise the connect tokens service will not know where to redirect the user, and the Context.IO specific screens would not be skipped. Also remember this only works for providers for which we support oauth, such as Gmail and Outlook.
