We return this error if a developer or end-user attempts to signup from a Russian locale.
Unfortunately, the Context.IO team has made the difficult decision to cease operations in Russia, which means we will no longer accept Context.IO developers and application end users who are located in Russia, and will delete any data we may hold on Russian citizens.
This is due to a recent law requiring the local storage of Russian citizens personal data within Russia. Under the Data Localization Law, businesses and data operators processing data of Russian citizens, whether collected online or offline, are obliged to record, systematize, accumulate, store, update, change and retrieve such data in databases located within the territory of the Russian Federation.
We have already started to block new developers and users from Russia from using our APIs. Any Russian developer or end user on Context.IO will be deactivated and deleted by December 1st.
